It may be hard to imagine, but I actually look forward to giving birth again! The birth of my second son, Tristan, was such an amazing, beautiful, and empowering experience. Meggan was a sweet, reassuring presence throughout my labor and delivery. My favorite memories are of being in the warm, soothing tub while she patiently and gently held my hand. Her hand became my focal point, my anchor. As long as I could feel her hand in mine, I knew that everything was fine in my world. Relaxed and at peace, I dozed between the waves of contractions, had dreams even, and woke with the next contraction to feel her steady hand.
She created a peaceful, relaxing environment in the hospital room with dim lighting, candles, soft music, and aromatherapy. She brought me snacks and drinks when I didn’t even know I needed them. She believed in me before I could even doubt myself. But it was mostly her sweet, calming presence that meant the most to me. She is such a sincere, nurturing, and kind-hearted person. I am ever grateful to her for helping to create the perfect birth experience for me. Having her as my doula, I think, allowed me to just relax and go with the flow so that everything progressed so quickly!
I absolutely recommend her to anyone who is thinking about hiring a doula. My first son was born without a doula, and the difference between the two birth experiences is astounding. I will never again do it without a doula, and I will definitely have Meggan as my doula next time as long as she is still taking clients!

The miracle of birth can be a very scary, traumatic experience for anyone especially a first time mother. As any first time mother I had many fears and doubts about the standard hospital birth and the difference in natural birth. The best decision I made was making the educated decision to have an all natural vaginal birth. Meggan was an essential part of this process she helped me through various stages of my pregnancy from the many doubts or apprehensions I had and helped educate me to make wise decisions that would benefit me and my soon to be baby boy. Meggan has a natural love and affection that holds you close like a warm hug. I would have been lost through this journey if she was not there. She provided knowledge during my pregnancy, comfort and strength when I felt weak, but most of all she was there with encouraging words and a kind smile. Birth should not be a traumatic event, but so many today have horrifying experiecnces because of the enviroment. Enviroment is one of the keys to a successful birth. Meggan provided everything I could possibly have hoped for. During labor she tended to my every need, most times anticipating things so that I didnt even have to ask for them. If you are looking for a happy, comforting, supportive and loving Doula, YOU HAVE FOUND HER!!! Meggan is all those things and more, my family is truly blessed to have her as a friend and we thank her for playing a vital role in Nathaniel's birth!

Having Meggan with us for the birth of our son was a wonderful experience. I had not planned on having a doula with me for the birth, but during the third trimester some health concerns arose with me and the baby. Although I liked the doctors I was working with, I felt some of my concerns were being dismissed and that I was not being listened to as I would like. As I was attempting a VBAC I also began to worry about my wishes being respected during the labor process. That is when I found Meggan. She was a wonderful resource for the health information as well as birthing techniques and knowing my rights as a mother. She even took time to come to our home and listen to my concerns before helping me put together a birth plan and newborn care plan. She was a great calming and reassuring presence during the birth which was a complete success! I would happily recommend her to anyone.-Kelly Barney
